The horse barn was built in 1899 and also
served as a wagon and tool shed, carpenter and blacksmith shop,
and park office. A major addition in 1918 provided significantly
more storage space and allowed horse teams and vehicles to be
driven into the building. For many years park employees resided
in the upper level. Current use is as a service building
for Lake Park equipment and staff.
